About the event

With Andrew and Pene Turnell

This five-week online programme will provide a detailed and practical introduction to the Resolutions approach. The Resolutions approach is specifically designed for working with families that dispute and ‘deny’ professional allegations of serious child abuse such as sexual abuse has occurred such as sexual abuse, physical injuries, domestic violence or factitious induced illness.

We will explore the systems theory foundations and logic of the approach illustrated throughout with many examples from cases we have been directly involved with. In the five weeks the programme will cover:

1 Principles of the Resolutions approach and professional preparations

2 Engaging the family in the work and building and involving an informed network

3 Words and pictures work

4 Similar but Different work

5 Safety Planning

In advance of the programme commencement, all participants will be invited to answer a few questions to describe their particular interest and questions they bring to this training. All participants will receive a copy of ‘Resolutions an Overview’ which is the third chapter of Andrew and Susie Essex’s book on the Resolutions approach.
